Last year, Percy found himself in hot water after being accused of sexual misconduct by an anonymous woman in January 2023 X.

The woman alleged that the 22-year-old deliberately invited drunk girls to his high school parties for the sole purpose of having sex with them.

Percy was also accused of it at the time racism when a video of him making racist comments – which has since been deleted – resurfaced online.

At that time he took over his Instagram page and wrote: “Earlier this year, someone I've never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online.

“As a result, my family has been doxxed and my friends have received death threats.

“She gave me permission to include her in this message.”

He added: “The rumors are false. I cannot accept the portrayal of me as someone who is bigoted or criminally negligent towards people's safety.

“These are the kinds of unsubstantiated, damaging claims that can create mistrust of victims. It is very disturbing to know that this misinformation has upset people.”

As for the racism claims, the Night at the Museum star has not yet responded to the video.

Percy played the artistic friend (and sometimes enemy) of protagonist Jenna's titular character, Wednesday Addams.

Throughout season one, there seemed to be a possible spark between the two – or betrayal – as Wednesday tried to investigate who the ever-elusive Hyde Monster was.

Xavier and Wednesday's friendship was a rollercoaster, to say the least, until the final conclusion was reached, with Wednesday's other best friends proving to be the culprit.

On Wednesday, fans will have to wait and see how Percy's character is removed from the next series.

The upcoming season of the hit show stars the critically acclaimed actress and Fool Me Once Joanna Lumley will also star in the new series alongside Christopher Lloyd (Addams Family, Back to the Future), Frances O'Connor (The Missing, The Twelve), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method, Somebody I Used to Know), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream) and Joonas Suotamo.

Wednesday's season one is available to stream on Netflix.
