Our Samsung Galaxy S24 vs S23 video is out

You can still buy a new one Galaxy S23 from Samsung and it will cost you less than one Galaxy S24 – in the US, the 2023 model costs $700, while its replacement costs $800 (for 128GB units, add $60 if you want a 256GB one). Is the new model worth it or is it okay to save a few bucks and buy the old one?

That's what our comparison video tries to answer. The two phones look quite similar, so the devil is in the details. In this personal comparison, Will covers the differences in screen, camera, performance and battery.

That's not all of course, Samsung promises 7 years of support for the Galaxy S24. Meanwhile, the S23 recently celebrated its first anniversary, which means there are only 3 OS updates and 4 years of patches left. That said, both phones currently run One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI.

And what if you already have a Galaxy S23? Well, you could keep it, but Samsung US has a promo and you can trade in the S23 for $500 credit if you buy an S24. This drops the price of the unlocked 128GB model to $300 and the 256GB model to $360. In Britain, an old S23 is worth up to £330 in trade-in credit, while in Germany it is €430 (+€20 for 256 GB).
