Bodycam footage of rapper Polo G’s 2021 arrest has been released by Miami police.
At the time, it was reported that Polo G was arrested right after his “The Goat” album release party, with both the police and the Chicago-bred rapper claiming they were ripped off during the trial.
TMZ reported that charges of resisting an officer without violence were later dropped after Polo took anger management classes and the newly released footage shows why they were likely needed.
A cop was spotted in a police car at one point in the video using his computer. Polo on the other hand, was seen yelling at him off-camera about his career choices to become a police officer.
Polo’s insults seem to roll off the officer, but then their conversation turns to an all-too-real scenario of a cop being killed on the job, leaving his children fatherless.
Later in the video, Polo is seen getting medical attention as he pleads his case, claiming that the police caused him to blackout when they first arrested him. Meanwhile, police claimed that Polo kicked their car like crazy during the arrest.
Polo’s mother/manager Stacia Mac commented piece by piece on the chaotic incident at the time, claiming that her son was racially profiled after the party.
