The royal couple could not enjoy it this year 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' or the dress code 'The Garden of Time'.

It comes after a PR expert claimed the public is 'really fed up with her and Harry', suggesting Meghan's absence from the Met Gala is a sensible move.

Wintour previously praised Meghan in 2019 before her departure from the Royal family.

In Vogue's Go Ask Anna web series, she revealed: “I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household who were confused and angry because she woke up so early, at 5am.”

“She's a typical Californian girl who gets up early for yoga and meditation. She also sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? For her to start sending messages by pigeon? I love them.”

Anna also gave her opinion on the Duchess of Sussex's wedding dressat the time stating, “The whole world watched the royal wedding, and I think her choice was brilliant. It was sophisticated, it was chic, it was grown-up.”
