While big stars like Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney graced the famous red carpet, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were nowhere to be seen.
The royal couple could not enjoy it this year 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' or the dress code 'The Garden of Time'.
Although Vogue boss Anna Wintourwho has chaired the event since 1995, iHe's actually a fan of the Suits actress.
It comes after a PR expert claimed the public is 'really fed up with her and Harry', suggesting Meghan's absence from the Met Gala is a sensible move.

Wintour previously praised Meghan in 2019 before her departure from the Royal family.
In Vogue's Go Ask Anna web series, she revealed: “I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household who were confused and angry because she woke up so early, at 5am.”
“She's a typical Californian girl who gets up early for yoga and meditation. She also sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? For her to start sending messages by pigeon? I love them.”
Anna also gave her opinion on the Duchess of Sussex's wedding dressat the time stating, “The whole world watched the royal wedding, and I think her choice was brilliant. It was sophisticated, it was chic, it was grown-up.”
