Prince Harry's 'olive branch' to William and King 'most selfish' ever | Royal | News

Prince Harry's “olive branch” to Prince William And King Charles is the “most selfish” ever seen, a royal commentator has claimed. It is believed that the Duke of Sussex extended an invitation to meet his brother and father during his lifetime trip to Britain next week.

But royal expert Kinsey Schofield has said the Duke of Sussex has an ulterior motive seeking a reunion with the king and his estranged brother.

US magazine Page Six first reported claims by a 'well-placed London socialite' that Harry had invited William to a special ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, to be held at St Paul's Cathedral on May 8 .

Ms Schofield, speaking on her new YouTube podcast Kinsey Schofield unfilteredsaid, “That's the most selfish olive branch I've ever heard in my life.”

She joked: “That's not an olive branch, guys, that's a PR stunt… Unfortunately for Harry, he's not getting – quote on quote – much of a response. 'New phone! Who is this?' Can you blame them?”

The expert suggested royal fans could watch it while the King and William would not be in attendance Princess Beatrice or Princess Eugenie at the event.

She added: “I would pay good money for one Queen Camille sighting – the same Camilla that Harry said was 'dangerous', 'willing to leave bodies in the streets as a sacrifice for her own PR' in reserve. Spare – the book where Harry sacrificed his entire family for PR and moola.”

In the meantime, The sun reports that the Duke is “very keen” to meet Charles. Their previous meeting was in February after the king's cancer diagnosis was made public.

The publication says that Harry and the King could meet on Wednesday evening, as the separate events they have planned will end around 6 p.m.

It also reports that any potential meeting is unlikely to involve the Prince of Wales, as William will leave the capital on Thursday and Friday.

Harry is expected to give a talk at a thanksgiving service to mark a decade since the first Invictus Games London in 2014. It will be the first major event he has attended in Britain for some time.

Organizers say there is no confirmation that other royals will be in attendance, or if that is the case Duchess of Sussex or the couple's children will be in Britain.

The service is scheduled two days after Harry's son Archie celebrates his fifth birthday. Actor Damian Lewis will recite Invictus's poem during the service.

Representatives from participating countries in the Invictus Games, including members of the wounded, injured and ill personnel and veteran community, will also attend.

After the ceremony, Harry and Meghan meet in Nigeria after being invited by the West African country's chief of defense staff, who met Harry in Germany last September during the Invictus Games Dusseldorf.

Harry and Meghan moved to the US in 2020 after stepping down from their royal duties.
