Runaways is a spatial endless runner designed specifically for Apple Vision Pro.
Developed by Beyond Games, Runaways is a skill-based endless runner with fast-paced gameplay. Your goal is to escape from a planet full of tentacles after dumping the mines of ExHume 8 and leading Hank to an exit portal. Thanks to the dynamic track generation, you have to jump over a 3D track in your living space while avoiding traps and obstacles. Here's the new trailer.
We briefly got hands-on with Runaways at GDC 2024. You control Hank with a pinch gesture to jump over bottomless pits, although this requires careful timing as jumps use energy that recharges slowly. Traps can be avoided by jumping or pressing a floating disarm button. Although we didn't get far, it's a pleasantly simple premise with a colorful presentation that's easy to learn.
Runaways will be released on Apple Vision Pro on May 27.
