Save locations to Google Maps can save you a lot of time and effort when planning your trips. You can organize your saved locations into lists, such as favorites, places you want to go, or where you parked your car. Here’s how to save a location on Google Maps using your smartphone or computer.

Save location to Google Maps with your iPhone or Android phone
First open the Google Maps App on your iPhone or Android phone. Then select an address to save. You can do this by searching for a place, tapping a marker, or by touching and holding a spot on the map.

In the description of the location, tap Save and choose which list to save it to. You can also add a short description for reference. Then tap Done in the top right corner, and you’re all set!

For those using an iPhone 6 or later, you can use 3D Touch to save a location. Enable 3D Touch from the phone’s accessibility settings, then tap in the Google Maps app and hard press on a place to save.
If you accidentally saved a location to the wrong list, you can edit the list to remove it. Then search for the address and save it again in the correct list.
Saved Places are unique to your Google Account, meaning only you can find your Saved Places unless you create and share a list of places. However, Google may anonymously share aggregated information about users’ saved places.
Save location on Google Maps with your computer
Open first Google Maps on your web browser. Then click or search for a company, place, or a range of coordinates.

The location description opens on the left side of the screen. Click Save and select a list.
To view your list of saved locations on a computer, click the menu bar in the top left corner of the screen, then select Your places.

First, navigate to your saved places lists. In the Google Maps mobile app, tap Saved at the bottom of the screen. On the desktop, click the menu icon in the top left corner, click Your Places, then Saved. Find the list containing the place you want to delete, then select More (represented by the three-dot icon) and choose Edit List. Finally, find the place you want to delete and click the X icon to delete.
How to save parking spaces on Google Maps
Before you drive, you can look for places to park your car. Once you reach your destination, you can save your parking location to easily find your vehicle later. This is a useful feature if you are somewhere busy or leave your vehicle at the airport for a few days. Moreover, you can even pay for parking within the Google Maps app.
If there is a particular route that you will travel often, you can save it. Set directions to your destination, then tap Pin on the bar at the bottom right. This keeps the route within the To go tab on Google Maps. You can also download routes for offline directions.
Add a parking space to your route
Open Google Maps on your phone, tablet, computer or via the Android Auto or Apple Car Play app in your vehicle’s dashboard.
Select your destination, then tap Travel directions. Google will tell you how busy the traffic is and how long it should take to get there.

On mobile, tap Steps at the bottom of the screen to see how many parking spaces are currently available.

Select on the desktop Parking lots below the To discover tab for a list of nearby parking spaces.

Keep in mind that Google will not show you free, hidden parking spaces, only registered parking spaces. So it’s worth asking a local friend for tips if you want to save money. Also view our top ten parking apps to find a place.
Choose a parking space or garage and tap Add parking place. This will add the parking lot to your route. When you’re ready to hit the road, tap Get started.
Save where you parked
When you’ve parked safely, open Google Maps on your smartphone.
Tap the blue icon that shows your current location. If your GPS signal is weak, Google may ask you to calibrate the accuracy, which is a quick process where you point your camera at the surrounding street.

Once your coordinates are correct, tap Save your parking space. Now Google remembers where your car is in case you forget. You can also add notes such as how much time you have left on the meter or which floor you parked on.
To find your parking location later, you can search for Parking spot in the search bar and plot directions to it. Often, simply tapping the search bar will list your recently saved parking location as the first suggestion.

Tap Clear in the description of your parking location when you are ready to leave.
Tap the search bar to find your parking location. Below that, where it says You parked here, tap Change location and place the icon where you are currently parked.
