Mauro Icardi excited about Man United move

One player who is certainly open to a move to Manchester United is reportedly Mauro Icardi.

The Argentine striker seems redundant at Paris Saint-Germain under new head coach Christophe Galtier and has apparently been told he can leave before the deadline while training away from the senior squad.

Icardi has tentatively been linked with a move to Old Trafford – who hasn’t at the moment? – as Erik ten Hag is desperately aiming for attacking reinforcements this month.

Argentina’s TyC Sports now claims the former Inter Milan sniper would be very open to joining United and also has interest from Turkish giant Galatasaray.

Chelsea handed key De Jong boost

Chelsea seems to have received a big boost in the pursuit of Frenkie de Jong.

The Blues have long been teaming up with Manchester United in the battle for the Dutch international, who is in dispute with Barcelona over deferred salary payments.

De Jong has been at the center of one of the most lengthy and frankly dull transfer saga of this summer, but could the end finally be in sight?

The Telegraph reports that the 25-year-old has expressed a preference to join Chelsea over United, putting Erik ten Hag’s hopes to the test.

However, rival claims from Catalan outlet Sport suggest he is now considering the possibility of reuniting with Ten Hag at Old Trafford! What to believe?!

Like Aubameyang, De Jong was limited to a cameo cameo for Barcelona against Rayo last night.

Udogie ready for Tottenham Medical

Tottenham are getting closer to their seventh signing of a busy summer transfer window.

Spurs have been trying to strike a deal for Italian Under-21 international left-back Destiny Udogie for some time now.

The 19-year-old was left out of the Udinese roster for last night’s 4-2 defeat by reigning Serie A champions AC Milan at the San Siro.

Fabrizio Romano reports that they did not want to take any chances against Udogie, who is set to undergo his medical to Tottenham on Tuesday.

He signs a five-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur before being loaned to Udinese for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.

Arsenal want Moises Caicedo deal

Arsenal want to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton.

The Ecuadorian midfielder has made quite an impact since returning from a loan spell with Belgium’s Beerschot last season, where he played a starring role as Graham Potter’s side opened the new Premier League season with an impressive 2-1 win over Manchester United on Old Trafford.

And such strong performances have clearly not gone unnoticed, with the Sunday Mirror suggesting Arsenal are now interested in a deal for Caicedo.

However, United, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen would also be after the 20-year-old, who signed Brighton from Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle last January for just £4.5m, after initially having strong ties with the Red Devils.

Chelsea in contact over Aubameyang deal

According to the latest reports, Chelsea are in contact with Barcelona about a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Blues have the Barcelona frontman on their shortlist of striker targets and he is clearly seen as a preferred option due to a strong relationship with Thomas Tuchel from their stint with Borussia Dortmund.

The Press Association reported yesterday that Barca were open to talks with Chelsea but would likely push for a fee of more than £20 million, while the Blues could instead aim for a season-long loan that would fully cover Aubameyang’s wages.

Now Fabrizio Romano claims the two clubs will contact through intermediaries before Chelsea decide whether or not to bid.

Aubameyang was limited to a late cameo as Xavi’s Barcelona kicked off the new LaLiga season with a frustrating goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou last night.

According to the latest reports, Barcelona are open to a deal with Chelsea for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The ex-Arsenal captain has been linked with a shocking return to the Premier League just seven months after arriving in Spain and a reunion with Thomas Tuchel, with whom he shares a close bond from their Borussia Dortmund days.

According to the Press Association, Barça are willing to discuss a potential fee with Chelsea for Aubameyang, pushing for a fee of more than £20million as they try to balance the books at the Camp Nou.

PA reports that de Blagurana wants a permanent transfer and is open to letting him go for the right price, with Chelsea perhaps trying their luck with a loan offer that will allow them to fully cover his wages.
