The vivo X100 Ultra will be announced on May 13, the company announced on Weibo. The event will also see the introduction of two new flagships, X100s and X100s Pro, the former of which will have flat sides and a front panel.
The company has already listed the phones on its online store in China, revealing the full memory combinations and color options.
The X100 Ultra has a camera setup unlike any other X100 smartphone. According to a senior executive, the phone, with its industry-leading camera technologies, will excel in five key scenes:
- The micro-gimbal anti-shake telephoto lens will be able to capture fast cars.
- The macro function of the telephoto camera has the largest magnification factor among smartphones: 3.4:1.
- The dark-light telephoto portrait option provides seamless images without glare or reflections.
- A telephoto lens can also capture starlight in the night sky.
- With the help of Zeiss, the X100 Ultra and vivo ISP users can capture sunsets, sunrises and flowing clouds.

The X100s and X100s Pro are not promoted as loudly as the Ultra. We expect these phones to have similar specs to the X100 and X100 Pro, but with a different chipset: Dimensity 9300+. Meanwhile, the Ultra is likely to ship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
