The fatal collision, involving a car and a bus, took place on Harrow Road near Wembley Police Station. Fans traveling to Wembley Stadium to see Coldplay are advised to use alternative routes.

Emergency services arrived just after 3 p.m

A blue car collided with bus 92 heading towards Ealing Hospital.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Agents were called to a collision between a car and a bus at 3pm on Saturday, August 13, on Harrow Road near Chaplin Road, Wembley.

“A man in his seventies was treated by paramedics. Despite their efforts, he died on the spot. Relatives have been informed. A number of people on the bus have been treated for minor injuries. No arrests have been made.”

The victim was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene.

He has not yet been named by authorities, but he is believed to be in his 70s.

His family has been informed of the tragedy.

The photos show that several fire engines are on site to remove the debris from the street.

Wembley Stadium has warned fans traveling to the Coldplay show to take alternative routes.

On Twitter, the stadium’s account wrote: “Driving to Wembley? There has been a traffic accident at the junction between A404 Harrow Road (all approaches) and Chaplin Road (both directions). This closure will likely be in place for some time.” .

Just before 8 p.m., traffic information company Inrix reports that the A404 Harrow Road will remain closed in both directions.

Investigation work between Wembley Police Station and the A4005 Bridgewater Road is underway.

Police are calling for witnesses or dashcam footage to assist in the investigation.
