Why does WhatsApp look different? The messaging app has a new design on iPhone and Android

The app design team implements a fresh, uniform green color scheme. After weighing more than thirty-five hue options, they decided to stick with WhatsApp's signature green and use a color scheme that allows harmonious color combinations to be used throughout the app. To be more conscious about where and how they use green, they have also used more neutral colors. Additionally, the team noticed that users wanted a darker dark mode. To reduce eye strain in low light, they focused on richer tones and higher contrast.
