Morocco World Cup fans party it in London after their shock victory over Spain.

The team secured a place in the quarter-finals for the first time in their history after winning on penalties in Qatar.

Ecstatic fans can be seen waving torches, singing and dancing in footage posted to social media tonight.

Horns blared and Moroccan flags would hang ‘everywhere’ on Edgware Road.

Lucie Bickerdike, who posted a video to Twitter, said she filmed the cheering scenes from a bus.

She wrote, “Edgware Road is utter madhouse. Did something happen in the #World Cup?’

She later added: ‘Trust me to decide on a bus trip down Edgware Rd, just if Morocco wins, this is insane’.

Hundreds of other supporters were seen singing as they celebrated together on Oxford Street in central London.

The result means that Morocco – the last African team in the tournament – will play in Portugal’s last eight against Switzerland on Saturday.

Tuesday’s match went to a shootout after finishing 0-0 after 120 minutes.

Morocco won 3-0 on penalties, with Spanish-born Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi registering the winning penalty after throwing home a brutal Panenka.
