DEONTAY WILDER Says Anthony Joshua Would Have Passed WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury.
AJ32, was talking to Fury about an all-British clash for December.
However, no deal could be reached and matchroom chief Eddie Hearn announced the dream match-up was OUT.
Hearn insists the case is “still open for discussion” but suggested the fight is “over” as it is.
Should there ever be a fight between the two British, former WBC champions Wilderswho fought the Fury in a trilogy, backed Joshua to come out on top.
Wilder says Joshua needs to change some things “mentally” and then he can “redeem himself more than ever” back-to-back title losses for Oleksandr Usyk.
The American said to Dan Rafael’s: Fighting freaks unite: “I see Anthony Joshua beat Tyson Fury.
“I know that’s crazy — some people would think that.
“But I saw Joshua really win that fight.
“I think if he changes certain things mentally, he could come back and redeem himself more than ever.”

Wilder returns to the boxing ring this month against Robert Helenius.
The 42-2-1 hard hitter hasn’t fought in a year since his trilogy loss to Fury in Las Vegas.
He has ambitions to fight the top three heavyweights before retiring.
Wilder wants to face Fury in a fourth fight, despite having already lost twice and drawn once.
And he would like a piece of AJ from WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champion Usyk.
Wilder claimed a fourth fight with Fury is “inevitable” and a showdown with Joshua “will be ready when the time comes”.
A meeting with Usyk has already been ordered by the Ukrainian.
Once his return is complete, Wilder will then retire to focus on making music.
