Asda shoppers wear pajamas and dressing gown to Hull supermarket | UK | News

Two Asda shoppers were labeled “lazy” for visiting a in full pajamas and dressing gown in the middle of the afternoon.

Another customer said she was “mortified” to the women, who she said arrived in casual clothes around 5 p.m. yesterday. They went on to complete their grocery store in the supermarket in Sculcoates, Hull.

The mother, seeing the couple, said: “I came into little Asda on Beverley Road just after work, it was just before 5pm and two women were walking into the shop in their pajamas and dressing gowns. I couldn’t believe it.

“If you’re still in your pajamas at that time of day, that’s your business, but going to the shops like that is just bizarre. I’d be mortified if someone saw me walking in my pajamas. They didn’t look feel ashamed or something.”

Hull Live reports that individual stores have rules about what clothing is appropriate in their stores.

Nevertheless, people online criticized the shoppers for being “lazy” and looking “shabby” with the choice of clothing.

One person wrote on Facebook: “It’s lazy, it’s not very hygienic and it’s filthy. It shouldn’t be.”

Another said: “Self-esteem is clearly a thing of the past for some. What kind of example do they show their children?”

A third posted: “I find it horrifying, to be honest, to see grown women in dressing gowns at Asda.”

One mum wrote: “It’s just downright lazy I guess.”

But other people defended shoppers, suggesting that it’s often “easier” to put on all the clothes you can.

One woman said, “I’m disabled and to be honest it’s easier and more comfortable for me to stay in pyjamas even when I go out.”

Another Facebook user wrote, “It’s absolutely mind-boggling how much people care about what other people are wearing. Go about your day and enjoy your life.”
