Book 2 wins game of the year at VR Awards 2022

Polyarc’s fantasy adventure sequel, Moss: Book 2won Game of the Year at the annual VR Awards.

After Demeo’s victory over VR Prices 2021Moss: Book 2 faced stiff competition at this year’s ceremony, beating twelve of them other finalists for ‘VR Game of the Year’. The other nominations (which fall within the participation period for the VR Awards of July 2021 to August 2022) including Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Last Call, After the fall, Lonely echo 2and Zenit: the last city. Book 2 in particular won against Resident Evil 4who previously took home Best VR/AR on The Game Awards 2021 late last year.

Moss: Book 2 got our approval when we reviewed the PSVR release, earning a Recommended label. While it left us wanting more, we believed it “adds brilliant new gameplay mechanics that make for some innovative combat encounters, while puzzles prove to be a surprising highlight.” Since then, Book 2 has also been released for quest 2 and PC VR through Steam.

Elsewhere, it was a busy night at the VR Awards. The Pico Neo 3 Link achieved VR Hardware of the Year and defended five other competitors: Living streamMaster DK3, XTAL 3 Mixed reality, Shadow Aeroand Emerge Wave-1.

People from Baobab Studios won ‘VR Movie of the Year’ Missing imagestwo David Attenborough Documentaries, and more. AnotherWay won Rising VR Company of the Year, while The MetaMovie Presents: Alien Rescue took home VR Experience of the Year.

It’s not over for VR awards season either. Geoff Kighleys The Game Awards 2022 takes place on December 8, where Moss: Book 2 is also nominated for Best VR/AR. There he is joined by four other contenders; After the fall, Among Us VR, Bone laband Red fabric 2. Otherwise, F1 22 is the only included VR-assisted game, nominated in Best Sports/Racing.
