Bradford house fire: Girl, 10, killed along with woman and three other babies rushed to hospital in Bank Holiday horror

A 10-year-old girl tragically died in a devastating house fire in Bradford, West Yorkshire, this morning.

A woman, 37, and three other children managed to escape the property and were rushed to hospital where they are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

West Yorkshire Police raced to the residential street at 1 a.m. this morning after receiving a call from the fire brigade about reports of a 'serious house fire'.

Police confirmed the other children are aged 11, six and three.

A cordon is currently in place at the scene and police are working with fire investigators to determine the cause of the fire.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it sent three crews, two from Bradford and one from Shipley, who used two hose reels and four breathing apparatus at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: 'At 1.08am this morning police were called by the fire brigade to reports of a serious house fire on Kingsdale Drive, Bradford.

'A woman and three children managed to escape from the property and were taken to hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

'A fourth child was found at the address and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“A scene is currently in place at the address and police are working with fire investigators to determine the exact cause of the fire.”

Detective Chief Inspector Zaheer Abbas of Bradford District Police said:

'This is an absolutely tragic incident where a young child has lost her life, our thoughts are with her family at this time.

'Our investigation with the fire brigade showed that the fire was not suspicious.

'The family are being supported by specially trained officers and a file will now be prepared for the coroner in due course.'
