King Charles raises William's 'concerns' as he is told to 'balance his recovery' and do his duty | Royal | News

King Charles has raised 'concerns' among his eldest son, Prince William, about his hectic work schedule.

According to The timesWilliam is believed to be “worried about his 'workaholic' father's pace”, especially as the 75-year-old is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

The king returned to public duties earlier this week, his first public appearance since before his diagnosis in early February.

King Charles is said to have continued his work behind the scenes, but had only just received permission to resume his duties publicly.

A source close to William said: “[William] wants to make sure his father balances his recovery.

“He knows his father loves his job, but he is worried about him.”

Queen Camilla – who stepped out with her husband on Tuesday – also recently expressed her wish for the monarch to 'hold back' on his duties.

At a Palace reception earlier this week, the 76-year-old said the king was “very excited” to return to public duties, but also admitted she was “holding him back”.

On April 30, the King visited the Macmillan Cancer Center at University College Hospital, where they met patients and staff.

The King and Queen will also assume the majority of the late Queen Elizabeth II's patronages.

It has been revealed that a major review of more than 1,000 patronages and charity presidencies has finally been carried out.

The outcome of the review, announced to mark the one-year anniversary of the coronation on Monday, will be shared with relevant organizations in the coming week.
