Britain's most notorious prisoner, Charles Bronson, 'assaults murderer who attacked him on wing of maximum security prison'

Britain's most notorious backbencher Charles Bronson was reportedly involved in a sexual assault with a murderer while on the wing of his maximum security prison.

Bronson71, Robert Donaldson is said to have thrown four punches after being ambushed by the killer.

Donaldson had sued Bronson, who served 50 years behind bars, leading to an arrest. Email online reports.

The Department of Justice confirmed they were investigating an incident at Category A HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

A spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate violence in prisons and anyone who breaks the rules will be punished.

“It would be inappropriate to comment further while the investigation is ongoing.”

The attack is said to have broken out on Monday, despite Bronson's previous attempts to evade Donaldson.

The killer was convicted of murdering a man in 2005, gagging a deaf 100-year-old woman and beating her elderly son.

Donaldson allegedly jumped at Bronson with his fists raised.

Bronson then landed two hooks and two uppercuts on the killer.

He now reportedly fears the brawl could affect him next one conditional offer within ten months.

Last March, Bronson lost his eighth bid for freedom after nearly half a century behind bars.

Bronson's sordid criminal record includes taking 11 people hostage during nine sieges – including governors, doctors and even his own lawyer.

He was first imprisoned for seven years in 1974, at the age of 21, after being convicted of armed robbery.

He later tried to strangle inmate Gordon Robinson while in a secure psychiatric hospital Broadmoorbefore causing £250,000 worth of damage when he staged a three-day protest on a rooftop.

Delag was released in 1987, but soon returned a year later with the intention of committing a robbery.

After taking three men hostage in his cell, the… criminal saw another five years added to his sentence.

After further acts of violence behind bars, he was eventually given a prison sentence life sentence after kidnapping jail lecturer Phil Danielson in 1999.

Bronson was further sentenced to three years for assaulting a prison warden in 2014.
