Alya Nazir’s (Sair Khan) desperation to erase this carpenter‘s (Bill Fellows) name affects her morals on Coronation Street, as she lies to Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) about whether or not to continue the case.

The problem Alya faces is due to Bridget (Beth Vyse) and young Eliza, Stu’s granddaughter.

Bridget has changed his mind about cutting Stu out of her and Eliza’s lives completely and soon they agree to spend time together at Speed Daal.

We know from previous scenes that Stu only wanted a relationship with his daughter (and now Eliza), so when he realizes they get along really well, he basically tells Alya that, he doesn’t want to continue the investigation if the happiness and positive relationships he has with Bridget and Eliza are much more important.

Feeling a bit stuck at this point, Alya goes against Stu’s will by being a little dishonest with Dee-Dee, who is helping with the case.

Dee-Dee confirms in the new video that a good cause has offered to fund the DNA test, which will examine Charlie’s old bag and rediscover who had it in his hands many years ago.

The lawyer tells Alya that a DNA sample is needed from Lucy (Lynda Rooke), Stu’s ex, and wants to keep him informed right away.

Alya lies to her new boyfriend and tells her that Stu is incredibly stressed and just wants the developments to run through her, which makes Dee-Dee suspicious.

Alya then makes it clear that Stu really wants to go through with the case, which makes Dee-Dee happy.

But when the truth comes out, this new face will of course be far from excited… but how much will change?

Now that Alya is aware that they are very close to the right answer, will her betrayal of Stu affect how the inevitable moment when he discovers the truth plays out?
