A drunk and armed Buruburu police officer whose video went viral on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, has committed suicide.
The body of the Kenyan police officer seen in the video in full uniform, staggering across the road, was found hanging in an old police canteen that burned down a few years ago.
The station grounds manager, Salim Onteri, found the body of Officer Harrison Mugo hanging from the rafters and reported the matter to the station commander.
A police report confirming his death reads;
“The body had no visible physical injuries and no suicide note was found. The deceased officer was the one whose clip went viral yesterday (Wednesday) after he was filmed drunk and disorderly while in police uniform and disciplinary action was taken against him.”
