EastEnders has launched an exciting new trailer for its New Year’s episodes – and it reveals a big new moment in Phil Mitchell(Steve McFadden) war with DCI Keeble (Alison Newman), as well as a hint at another possible death.

The aftermath of Christmas is seeing the Carter family coping with the grief of Mick’s (Danny Dyer) apparent death.but more tragedy may come as the bells ring in the new year.

As the rest of the community welcomes another year that is sure to bring more calamity and devastation to all of them, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) enters and finds an ailing Suki (Balwinder Sopal) cradling a lifeless Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).

A gas leak at the Slater household has both Eve and Stacey’s (Lacey Turner) daughter Lily (Lilia Turner) fighting for their lives.

Because of his plan with Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), Phil seems to believe he has what he needs to destroy Keeble for good – and he tells Billy that too.

But there is no relief as Keeble enters and declares they have a problem.
