Emergency services are dealing with an accident that killed a horse near Waihī.
A horse has been killed in an accident near Waihī.
The accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday on State Highway 2, between Rifle Range Rd and Dean Cr, a police spokesman said.
“The horse died and blocked a lane even though a farmer was organizing a tractor to move it.”
No one appears to be injured and the spokesman said it appears the vehicle that hit him did not stop.
