Interview with former Leitrim hurler Zak Moradi

A former Leitrim senior hurler who grew up playing barefoot football in a refugee camp in Iraq has spoken about the power of inclusivity the GAA has had on his journey, saying: “It has made me friends for life.”

Zak Moradi arrived in Carrick-on-Shannon with his family at the age of 11. He knew no one in town, nothing about the culture and didn't speak a word of English.
