Kate Middleton and Prince William face ‘extremely tough’ parenting challenge | Royal | News

Royal author Ingrid Seward emphasized how George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and Louis, three, are “not normal kids.” She said it was “extremely difficult” for the Cambridges to “keep their little feet on the ground”.

Ms Seward added that Kate would likely have been “concerned” by the focus on Louis over the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

Speaking to True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, Ms Seward said: “I think Kate needs to shroud some semblance of normality [their children]because she knows what [royal life] can do.

“She’s seen it, she’s been around long enough.

“But they’re not normal kids, and I think it’s extremely difficult to keep their little feet on the ground.

“I think this is a danger that Kate is very aware of.

“Louis at the anniversary became a superstar, but that probably would have worried her a little.”

The Cambridge kids made a series of appearances during the Jubilee festivities that delighted royal fans.

The youngest of William and Kate stole the show over the extended bank holiday weekend with his sassy antics.

The feisty toddler put on a hilarious show with reactions to the pomp and circumstance.

In a nod to Louis’s rambunctious antics, William and Kate said the three-year-old had a “particularly” good time at the Jubilee in a post as the weekend drew to a close.

They said: “What a fantastic weekend of partying.

“It was very special to see people all over the country come together with family, friends and loved ones.

“Thank you to everyone who has shown their gratitude to The Queen and her inspiring 70 years of leadership.

“From the hustle and bustle of the Mall to communities hosting street parties across the country, we hope you had a weekend to remember.

“We all had an incredible time, especially Louis…”

Meanwhile, a source known to the Cambridges described Louis as a “typical third child”.

The insider told People magazine: “He’s a cheeky monkey – a typical third child.

“It’s nice that the world has been able to see him enjoy it.”
