Key role that King Charles will have to play in Prince Harry's permanent move to the US | Royal | News

Prince HarryHis US visa is expected to expire sooner or later and to have it extended he needs a letter from his father: says immigration lawyer Charlotte Slocombe.

It is not known what kind of visa Harry has, but it is most likely an A-1 or an O-1, the lawyer says.

Explaining the difference between the two, Ms Slocombe says: “The validity of a visa for an A-1 should be valid for five years, so if he does indeed hold an A-1, it will probably have to be changed soon extended.”

She adds: 'Interestingly, he needs a letter from the king himself to make this application.'

“Another notable visa option for Harry would be the O-1, where I suspect the visa he holds is intended for individuals with recognized extraordinary abilities in their field.”
