Royal fans go wild over 'adorable' moment the Duchess of Edinburgh dances as she joins Royal Windsor Horse Show winners on the victory lap

Royal fans are going wild over the 'cute' moment the Duchess of Edinburgh started dancing as she joined some Royal Windsor Horse Show winners on their victory lap.

Prince Edward's wife, 59, attended the event in Berkshire her husband and daughter Lady Louise Windsor during the weekend.

After the International Driving event concluded, the Royal Family were invited to join the winners on their victory lap around Castle Arena.

Footage captured by X user and royal fan @Mari_Edinburghs shows the mother of two children initially walking down the racecourse with her husband and daughter.

But after being called back, Sophie took up a gentle jog as she made her way to the Australian team's carriage.

Sophie then did a little dance before getting into the carriage, with four prize-winning horses at the front.

After taking their seats at the front, the royal family could not contain their excitement and were seen clapping in cheers as they rushed away.

Sophie also smiled and waved in Prince Edward's direction during the victory lap.

The footage was then posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, where it was viewed more than 53,000 times and proved a hit with royal fans.

One replied: 'I love this video! The Duchess of Edinburgh was so delighted that she was asked to ride with the winners.'

Another gushed: 'Omg she's just the cutest! Thanks for sharing.'

“She's so sweet,” said a third. “I'd like to meet her informally, she looks nice!”

“Oh my god,” a fourth added. “This is cute!”

Sophie's performance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show followed her historic visit to Ukraine last week.

The Duchess of Edinburgh became the first British royal to visit the country since the Russian invasion.

Sophie, 59, met with the president Zelensky and his wife – and passed on a personal message from King Charles – as she shared her loneliness with survivors of conflict-related sexual violence and torture during her emotional one-day journey.

The mother-of-two traveled in her role as a campaigner for the UK's Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative and the Women, Peace and Security agenda.

It is understood she was 'keen to show her solidarity with the men, women and children affected by the Russian invasion'.

She arrived in the country on the same day that at least four people were killed in a barrage of Russian rocket attacks in the Ukrainian port city of Odesa, almost 300 miles (480 kilometers) away.

In Kiev the Duchess listened as survivors of sexual violence, both men and women, courageously shared their stories, and spoke with women displaced people – internally displaced people – and volunteers who are helping their communities cope with the trauma of the invasion.
