Sarah Platt raises concerns as drinking spirals out of control after heartbreak in Coronation Street

CORONATION Street spoilers tease a possible reunion between Sarah Platt and ex-fiance Gary Windass.

Sarah (Tina O'Brien) and Gary (Mikey North) had been together for years and were engaged.

Gary supported his then partner in the aftermath of her daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) being cared for and abused by the evil Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) and his friends.

Ultimately, Sarah dumped Gary after his involvement with loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood) and affair with Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp).

Sarah has been going through a tumultuous time in recent weeks.

Her lover Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) was arrested by armed policeput behind bars and cruelly dumped Sarah when she visited him in prison.

This turned out to be Damon's final appearance on the showwhile off-screen the character was later sentenced to six years in prison.

In scenes set to air next week, Sarah will raise concerns from ex-fiancé Gary after he sees her downing wine on The Rovers Return.

After seeing Sarah preparing to take home another bottle, Gary goes over to intervene.

While the spoilers don't reveal exactly what happens next, there's a tense atmosphere in the next episode – and Gary is clearly shocked by what he's seen.

Gary's wife Maria (Samia Longchambon) arrives home to find the couple looking shifty.

After setting up a discreet camera, Maria later watches on her phone as Gary spots Sarah outside.

Ultimately, the former couple embrace and agree to keep their distance from now on.
