Men of the state police’s Kwara commando have arrested a 41-year-old suspected ritualist after a human skull was found on him.
In a released statement, the spokesman for the state police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, said the police had received information that some suspected rituals whose shares are in the buying, trading and trading of human body parts included a human skull of the Lagos State to Ilorin and that the package was on its way to Balogun Fulani Motor Park, Ilorin.
“Based on the information, the team has arrested a 41-year-old Ibrahim Hamza ‘m’ from the Orisunbare area of Okolowo, Ilorin who had previously received the package from the motorcycle fleet. In a discreet search for him, a human skull was found hidden in a box with his name and phone number engraved on it.
Preliminary investigations into the case revealed that the suspect obtained the human skull, horse head, chimpanzee head and other artifacts found in his home that he confessed to using for money-making rituals .
Okasanmi stated that the state police commissioner, CP Tuesday Assayomo, praised the detectives for their job well done and admonished the investigative team to ensure that the suspect’s remaining accomplices are arrested and duly prosecuted.
