Last year XO Cafe pattern has been discontinued leaving fans of the coffee-soaked tequila robbed.

Bacardi, the company that made the drink, said it was dumping the drink to focus on its “core super and ultra-premium tequilas.”

The drink combines Patrón tequila and Arabica coffee. It is popular over ice, chilled in a shot or mixed into a cocktail.

A 70cl bottle costs around £30, but prices have skyrocketed as bottles are harder to find, and you will no longer find it on convenience store planks.

For example, the drink is on sale on Amazon at an eye-watering price of £97.99 – almost three times the price.

The 70cl bottle of El Toro Coffee Liqueur Tequila is just £15.99.

That’s half the price of Coffee Patron’s original retail cost, over 80% off its current higher price tag.

The Aldi Specialbuy will hit stores on August 21.
