Boy, 17, stabbed ‘after gang chase near South London Park’

A 17-year-old boy has been seriously injured after being stabbed near a south London park in the early hours of Sunday.

Southwark police said they were called to a report of a man being chased by a gang of men on Phelp Street, Walworthin the direction of Burgess Parkat 12:45 p.m.

Two of the group are said to have knives.

Police and paramedics found a 17-year-old boy who had been stabbed.

He was treated on the spot before being taken to Saint Thomas Hospital. He is still in a worrying condition.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
