Aaron Sandford (James Craven) gets terrible news on Coronation Street next week and learns that his father has been in a house fire.
Aaron’s father, Eric, is an alcoholic and often beats his son when he is drunk and very angry.
We’ll see this on tomorrow’s episode when Eric goes to Weatherfield and threatens Aaron about the missing money and weed.
Fortunately, Eric is packed up by Kevin (Michael Le Vell), but when Aaron returns to Summer’s (Harriet Bibby) later that day, she discovers that her boyfriend was beaten by Eric as soon as he got home.
Next week, when the police show up at the flat, Aaron is stunned as the officer reveals that his father is currently in hospital after the house fire.
When Aaron arrives at his father’s bedside, he soon wakes up and breaks Aaron’s heart by saying he wished he hadn’t survived.
Later that day, Aaron blames himself for ignoring Eric’s constant and very angry messages and leaving him unattended, but will this event put him in further danger in the future?
Can Summer and Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) find help for Aaron and possibly Eric?
