Cyclist dies after collision with lorry in west London

A cyclist has died in a collision with a lorry in London.

Emergency services cordoned off the scene on Charleville Road, West Kensington after the incident.

Shopkeepers and passersby rushed to try for help after witnessing the collision.

Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the cyclist died on the spot.

A metropolitan police a spokesman told Metro.co.uk: ‘Police are dealing with a fatal collision.

Officers were called to Charleville Road, W14 at 3:18 p.m. on Thursday, December 15.

“There are local road closures.”

A shopkeeper, who gave her name Joy, told the Standard she had heard someone “scream in pain” and ran out of her shop.

She added: “I called the paramedics and told them to come quickly because he was losing too much blood. I didn’t know what to do, I couldn’t move him.

“There were a lot of people trying to help him.

“It’s so sad that this young man lost his life.”
