Dagenham: Three arrested after man, 60, dies after fight in Dagenham

three men arrested after a man died after an altercation in Dagenhamsaid the police.

Police were called after reports of a brawl at the intersection of Ford Road and Broad Street around midnight on Sunday.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are supported by specialized agents.

Two men, aged 26 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of murder. Both men are currently in custody at the police station.

A 23-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn said: “At this stage, we believe there may have been an altercation between a group of men and the victim, who was with a friend. This then turned physical, unfortunately causing fatal injuries to the victim.

“We have three men in custody, but would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or the lead-up as soon as possible.”
