A BRIT has won £171 million after winning the EuroMillions jackpot tonight.
That pile of money will make them richer than Coldplay’s Chris Martinwhich is worth £132 million, according to The Sunday Times Rich List.
The contestants needed five main numbers plus two Lucky Stars to win the colossal cash prize.
Players can choose their own numbers or opt for a lucky dip, where the numbers are randomly generated.
The main numbers range from 1-50 with the Lucky Star numbers from 1-12.
Someone who correctly picks all five main numbers but only one Lucky Star can win just over £130,554.
Even without Lucky Stars, if you still draw five main numbers you could win just over £13.5k.
The guaranteed prize in the UK Millionaire Maker, which you automatically gain entry to when you buy a EuroMillions ticket, is £1 million.
It comes after a lucky winner took home £195m in July this yearmaking them richer than Grammy winner Adele — which is worth around £150 million, according to the Sunday Times rich list.
UK ticket holders Joe Thwaite and his wife Jess won £184 million in the May EuroMillions draw earlier this year.
Despite their amazing newfound wealth, one of their first purchase was a used Volvo.
Another life-changing £3.6 million win was awarded to: Helen and Lee Kuchczynski in July 2022.
Helen, 58, said: “We’ve rented our entire married life and with retirement approaching we didn’t think that would ever change.
“Instead of the usual Chinese takeaway in front of the television to celebrate my birthday, we bought a detached house with all mod cons – it even has electric gates!”
Lee, 52, didn’t miss a beat either, having traded in a truck for his dream car, an Audi RS4 Avant.
