Gail Porter has revealed she was ‘sucker punched’ as she tried to break up two women fighting outside of her London House.

While insisting she was fine now and walked away with nothing more than a “sore jaw,” the host begged people to remind her never to try to do anything like this again.

The former Top Of The Pops star shared the incident on her social media on Saturday, telling followers she was “little shocked, but totally fine” when she told of the spat.

Gail wrote: ‘Please remind me…when 2 women fight outside my house…don’t go out and try to make peace. Now home with a punch to the jaw. I must love London.’

She added: ‘And… I’ve always learned, as if trained in martial arts. Never respond. Keep your guard up and be nice.’

In response to several people sharing their shock about her post and adding their wishes for her speedy recovery, Gail revealed while it was all “slumping” that she could “maybe stay in for a few days” with the “blinds down.”

She added to another: ‘I’m Scottish. I can get over it. But it broke my mind’, claiming that those involved were ‘off their heads’.

“I just wanted to calm it down, because it upset the neighbors,” the star continued. ‘You know me. I just wanted to keep the peace.’

The presenter and the model said the moment ‘broke her mind’

She added today: “But…. Today is a beautiful day and it was a sucker punch. No harm done. I didn’t really feel it. Being Scottish and stuff. But have a nice afternoon xxx.’

Gail recently opened to Metro newspaper On living in the capital and thinking about whether London was home, she said: ‘I’ve lived here for years and will probably always live here, but I’m originally from Edinburgh, which is a fantastic city.

“I still call it my home, even though I’ve lived in London for so long, but it’s so expensive I can hardly afford to go back. I looked into booking an Airbnb there last year and it’s just gone crazy. It’s fantastic, though.’

However, her homeland is never far from her heart, with the presenter series Spooked Scotland.

Speaking about the places she visited on the show, Gail explained: ‘I’ve spent time in lots of properties all over Scotland with Chris and of course he was really open to everything.

“Yet I started out as a skeptic, I tell you, there’s something in those houses. You can feel it and get an idea of something.

“A bit like when I first walked into that first house in Belsize Park and I felt like this was the house for me, I knew there was something in those places, a presence or spirit.

The first episode shows me at Brodick Castle on the Isle of Arran. And when they told me I was going to sleep there, I was shocked. I swear to you, I went to bed in a room with a small living room attached to it and I closed the door of that room when I went to bed. When I awoke, that same door was wide open.

“I went out of that place screaming like a crazy, bald, wild woman. I couldn’t get checked out fast enough!

“I feel like I’m a little more in tune with the energy and spirit you can feel in homes right now doing that show.”
