Holloway: Floods round houses after water main breaks

several roads were closed in Holloway on Monday morning after a water main burst, causing flooding up to 1.20 meters high in some places.

London Fire Brigade said they were called to the corner of Hornsey Road and Tollington Road at 7:01 am after a 36-inch water main burst.

Eight fire trucks and about 60 firefighters were on the scene.

Hornsey The road was closed between Tollington Road and Seven Sisters Road with buses 4.29, 91, 153, 253, 254 and 259 on diversion.

The brigade recorded 12 calls to the incident.

Fire departments from Holloway, Islington, Kentish Town, Stoke Newington and surrounding fire stations were on the scene.
