That is based on figures about how much energy will cost under the new energy price guarantee (EPG) rate.

Bills would be £3,500 under Ofgem’s energy price cap, but this has been replaced by the EPG – which will freeze bills at £2,500 a year for the typical family.

However, exactly how much you pay to run your dehumidifier depends on the model and how often you use it.

How can I get help with my energy bill?

Energy suppliers offer support to those who are struggling to pay their bills.

Those with Universal Credit and older legacy benefits can: receive over £3,000 in billing support.

There are plenty of energy subsidies and schemes to help you when you’re struggling.

British Gas recently confirmed it will pay its most vulnerable customers grants worth £750 to help with skyrocketing bills.
