When crystal heredia Having tried on the garment for her 685,000 TikTok followers, she clearly wasn’t expecting a major disruption.

Heredia appeared to be wearing the Skims Solution Short, a one-legged piece of shapewear meant to be paired with slit dresses and skirts. The regular retail price is $42.

“I’m currently trying to pull these up without tearing them,” a smiling Heredia explained at the beginning of the video.

She was clearly having a hard time, but still seemed to be in a good mood, laughing a little as she confessed, “I can’t breathe!”

Moments later, however, Heredia stared at the camera in shock.

“I just ripped them,” she told the camera. “They tore.”

As she took a step back, she revealed a large hole in the thigh from the shapewear.

Heredia insisted that she has never encountered a similar problem with other brands.

“Other shapewear isn’t torn,” said a stunned Heredia.

Even without the leg tear, Heredia was frustrated with the shapewear’s function.

Her Skims waistband, meant to secure her middle and stay in place, wouldn’t stop snapping back to her hips.

“They keep rolling,” Heredia said, demonstrating for the camera. She pulled the waistband up to the correct height, but let it roll back over her body. “What the f***?”

In the comments, several people told Heredia that she probably bought the Skims in a size too small, but she said that probably wasn’t the problem.

“I went up a size and it didn’t work,” she confirmed. “They’re not for me.”

“The skims I own roll so damn bad. It’s so disappointing,” one viewer complained. “I went up a size and they still roll down.”

Some pointed out that the problem may not have been the shapewear itself.

“Unfortunately, it’s her nails that they probably cracked,” one commenter wrote. “My friends had to buy gloves to put them on.”

Others reported experiencing tearing and rolling from numerous brands.

In fact, a few viewers said Heredia was just lucky that she went on for so long without running into the problem herself.

“How have we been in shapewear for decades and still can’t find a solution?” one person asked.

Meanwhile, a plus-size shopper regrets making her Skims purchase.

YouTuber Miss Jemima had high hopes for the brand’s famous shapewear, but not after she couldn’t wear one item anymore.
