ONE WOMAN was left stunned after ordering a vegan meal on a 10-hour flight — and was given only water.
Miriam Porter, who goes by the name The Kind Traveler on TikTok, had booked the long-haul flight from Toronto to Frankfurt with Air Canada.

Despite the vegan meal being ordered in advance none was served? food on the plane.
She said in her video on TikTok: “POV: You’re on an Air Canada flight for over ten hours, ordering vegan meals.”
She then showed that for the first meal she had a bottle of waterand then nothing before her second meal.
Miriam added in the comments a “shout out to the friendly flight attendant” who ended up giving her some fruit and some Sandwiches from business class.
Her video has been viewed almost 950,000 times, although many people asked why she didn’t have her own snacks with her.
She later said that she normally always brings her own food, but she was already 24 hours late and had no way to prepare anything for the flight.
Many people also shared their own horror stories.
One woman said she got a “three slices of zucchini sandwich” on a long-haul flight, while another said she had “lettuce with 6 cold mushrooms on it” during their flight.
Others said they often had to top up the sandwiches and snacks like pretzels and hummus.
Sun Online Travel has contacted Air Canada for comment.
It is also not the first time that something like this has happened to passengers who order special meals.
A passenger who ordered a vegan meal before their flight was instead given served the “saddest airplane food ever” after getting a sandwich with just some vegetables in it.
And a flight attendant revealed why request a special meal before flying may reduce your chances of a free upgrade.
