Reliance Jio is ready to launch 5G services in India soon. According to sources, PM Modi will introduce Jio 5G services at IMC (India Mobile Congress) on October 1. In addition, the company is working with Google to introduce the JioPhone 5G. While the name has not been verified, if the Jio phone line is any indication, the upcoming device will likely go by the name JioPhone 5G.

Mukesh Ambani stated at the AGM 2022 event that Jio and Google aim to release a 5G phone at competitive prices soon. According to a report from 91mobiles, a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate is expected for the gadget. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s entry-level 5G SoC, the snapdragon 480. 32 GB of storage space and 4 GB of RAM are used in conjunction with this processor.

To discuss the features of the camera, the gadget also includes a dual rear camera setup, with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP secondary lens. In terms of optics, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera is expected.

A 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging capability is believed to be included in the smartphone. Since the operating system will be based on Android 12, the full version of Android OS instead of android Go Edition can be expected due to the expected 4 GB RAM of the device. Furthermore, a Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor, as well as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.1, are built-in. The Jio Phone 5G will reportedly carry the model number “LS1654QB5” and codename “Ganga,” according to the report.
