Kanye West superfan desperate to remove tattoo as clinic offers to laser them off for free | USA | News

A former Kanye West superfan is hoping to have her Ye-inspired tattoo removed after his recent diatribe of anti-Semitic remarks, in which he confesses that he “liked” Adolf Hitler. Cecilia Elias, of central New York, said she’s covering up her “favorite artist” tattoo while saving enough money to have it surgically removed.

She said Express.nl“I have a lot of tattoos, I got my Kanye tattoo because he was my favorite artist growing up, and I know all of his music better than the back of my hand.

“I absolutely loved his creative ability, and at the time I loved how forthright and honest he was”.

While Ms. Elias said she has no doubts about West’s artistry, she doesn’t want people to think she supports “the person he is or his views” due to recent events.

The 20-year-old woman, who works in the military, said she wants to have the tattoo hidden as soon as her finances allow.

She added: “My ‘last straw’ was then him [West] went after Kim [Kardashian] after their split. I didn’t know it was going to get worse, but then I really realized he needed help.

“The past few weeks have been eye openers and it has been absolutely unforgivable”.

After Kanye’s controversial actions, including his recent posting of a swastika on Twitter and his “I like Hitler” comment during a recent interview, many former fans are trying to get their West-inspired ink removed.

Naama Studios, a tattoo removal company based in London, is even offering free tattoo removals for regretful former Kanye fans – a procedure that would normally cost around £2,000.

Briony Garbett, CEO of the studiotold Express.nl“We’ve had worldwide interest and a great response, with several people contacting us to have their Kanye West tattoos removed. It seems there are a few former fans with tattoo regrets.

“Three clients have already started their relocation journey and more than 10 others have booked consultations in the coming weeks.”

The tattoo removal company offers pro-bono treatment for gang tattoos, hate symbols, radiotherapy memories, or past relationships as part of their Second-Chances project.

They said that tattoo removal of Kanye West falls under this umbrella.

Ms Garbett said: “If you have a tattoo inspired by someone you admire and they start making headlines for all the wrong reasons, it’s not exactly something you want to wear on your sleeve that you’re or were a fan “.

A current customer, who is undergoing treatment to have the ink removed, said she was cheated online over her Kanye West tattoo following his unsavory comments.

Last week, Mr. West posted a photo of a laptop screen that appeared to show a symbol of a swastika in a Star of David. Alongside the image, Kanye wrote, “YE24 LOVE EVERYONE #LOVESPEECH”.

The ‘YE24’ is believed to refer to his recently announced bid for the White House in 2024.

Elon Musk, responding to a user who forwarded the post to him, said West had “violated our rule against incitement to violence,” and confirmed that his “account will be suspended.”

Last Thursday, the same day his account was suspended, Kanye was interviewed by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, whose account was permanently deleted by Twitter in 2018.

Kanye admitted “I love Hitler” and said “I love Jewish people, but I love Nazis too,” while being interviewed alongside Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes on Jones’ show, Infowars.

It comes amid a long list of other controversial comments the rapper has made in recent times that saw him dropped from deals with high-end brands, including Adidas and Balenciaga.
