A man has been found dead after emergency services were called following reports of someone in trouble in Southland.
A police spokesman said emergency services were called to the Hokonui Hills, near Mandeville Rd, Southland, around 8:10 p.m. Thursday.
The call related to a report of someone in trouble.
A police spokesman said the man died on the spot.
“His death will be referred to the coroner.”
