Manchester United have been given the chance to sign Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio for €30 million, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag wants to strengthen his attacking options before the transfer window closes and Antony, his former player at Ajaxis his main target.

However, the Dutch club is demanding €100 million (£84.5 million) and United have so far refused to meet their asking price.

According to The TelegraphUnited have been offered a cheaper alternative as Asensio has been made available for €30m (£25.3m).

The report claims United were made aware of Asensio’s availability before finalizing their £60m deal for Casemiro.

Asensio is now in the final year of his contract with Madrid and the Spanish champions would rather secure a transfer fee for him this summer than see him leave for free next year.

The 26-year-old has played just seven minutes in both Madrid’s La Liga games so far this season.

Last season, he started 19 games in La Liga and two more in the Champions League.

“I don’t know what will happen,” Ancelotti told Movistar about Asensio’s situation after the Madrid game. Champions League draw on Thursday.

“He’s looking at something to see if he can get out.
