princess Dianathe last hours can play a major role in the Duke of SussexHarry’s investigators are looking for information about the car accident that killed her 25 years ago, official judicial sources in Paris say.

A source who was involved in the original investigation into the crash, according to The Sun, said: “There have been approaches suggesting Prince Harry is intensely focused on getting more information about his mother’s death.

“There are plenty of people in France who remember the night of the accident.”

The princess died at the age of 36 when the car she was traveling in hit an underpass pillar in the French capital in the early morning of August 31, 1997.

A six-month investigation in 2007 concluded that the accident was caused by Mr Paul losing control of the vehicle while driving at high speed while intoxicated.

The way the paparazzi drove in the back and the fact that Diana, Mr Fayed and Mr Paul were not wearing seat belts also influenced the outcome of the accident, a jury found.

Harry was 12 when his mother died.

The prince, who lives in the United States with… his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and their two young children, has been working on the book since 2020 with the help of ghostwriter JR Moehringer, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author.
