Two fire trucks and three police vehicles were found to be at a garage fire in Boyd St. In Rangiora this morning.
The fire broke out about An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway at 11:15 a.m. Friday.
Owner Peter Stevenson said he received a call from his son, who was home at the time, at work to say their garage was on fire.
“I don’t know what started it”, said Stevenson.
“I think the FENZ guys will look into it and then we’ll all have to clean it up.”
Stevenson said he believed a sofa, tools and other belongings were stored in his garage were lost in the fire.
“However, I was concerned about the lawnmower’s fuel.”
