After an opening defeat against Real Madrid in Glasgow, Ange Postecoglou‘s side were impressive for a long time against Shakhtar Donetsk but were unable to convert that into three points as they were held to a 1-1 draw last time.
It leaves them third in Group F, for two games in a week against Leipzig, who are bottom of the group after beating both Real and Shakhtar, conceding six goals.
That and Leipzig’s poor start to the Bundesliga season will give Celtic confidence that they can return to Scotland with something to show from their travels, although the German side are looking better under Marco Rose who took over last month.
