Robin Williams’ children pay tribute on the 8th anniversary of his death

The comedian committed suicide on August 11, 2014 at the age of 63, and doctors later discovered after his autopsy that he had unknowingly lived with Lewy Body’s diseasewhich is a form of progressive dementia.

On Thursday, his son Zak Williams, 39, shared a throwback photo of his late father, praising his joy and kindness while jokingly calling him an “amazing, hairy man.”

He tweeted: ‘Dad, on the eighth anniversary of your death, I remember how incredibly nice and happy you were.

“I miss you very much, wonderful, hairy man, and will celebrate your life today. I love you so much!’

Meanwhile, the daughter of late Mrs. Doubtfire star Zelda Williams shared a quote from writer Haruki Murakami on the social media platform.

The message read: ‘And once the storm is over, you won’t know how you survived, how you managed to survive. You’re not even sure if the storm is really over.

‘But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you’re not the same person that came in.”

In another tweet, the 33-year-old filmmaker shared “a range of suicide prevention tools” and encouraged her followers to “add everyone else you know can be helpful to others.”

She continued, “I don’t ask much, but be kind to your heart today. I know I’m trying.’

Last year, Zelda also shared a quote from Murakami in memory of her father, and posted at the time: ‘Sometimes when I look at you I feel like I’m staring at a distant star.
