Some Snoop Dogg cardholders are still waiting months for a refund after his two shows in New Zealand were postponed.

Thousands of Snoop Dogg fans are still waiting for a refund after his New Zealand shows were “postponed” three months ago.

Olivia Conway-Moore said ticketholders were told by Ticketek in July that they could get their tickets back within 30 business days.

“Unfortunately, almost three months later, no refunds have been made,” she said.

Snoop was set to play two major outdoor shows in Auckland and Christchurch in November as part of the I Wanna Thank Me tour.

But the hip-hop artist announced via social media in May that he canceled all of his upcoming tour dates outside of the United States, citing “unforeseen scheduling conflicts, including family commitments and upcoming TV and movie projects”.

The tour’s host, TradeMark Live, then said that in June the shows were not being canceled but instead were postponed to 2023 with an unconfirmed date.

Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart were fascinated by the haka of the Black Ferns Sevens after winning Olympic gold in Tokyo.

Conway Moore’s boyfriend bought four $118 tickets to the Christchurch show through Ticketek, but decided to get a refund when Snoop Dogg said it had been cancelled.

“My friend who bought the tickets contacted Ticketek via email, phone and even visited the Wellington office. They were very nice, but were only agents for Ticketek, so unfortunately they couldn’t really help.”

The card originally used to buy the tickets had expired, so the girlfriend had to fill out a form for the refund, which she did and returned in August.

“We thought maybe it was because they put it in the too-hard basket, but when we went to their Facebook page yesterday, we saw comments from other people with the same story.”

Trademark Live’s Mitch Lowe, the host of the tour alongside Mai FM, TEG and Bobby Dee, said the shows would take place in 2023 and they were waiting for their overseas team’s new concert dates.

“Anyone who wants a refund can get one at any time. We have already done thousands.”

Trademark Live's Mitch Lowe says the tour will continue next year.

He said refunds usually take much less than 30 days, and people “just write and say they need one.”

“Most people would rather have waited for new data. It’s not a general refund because it’s a deferral, they were given options,” he said.

TEG, owner of Ticketek, has been approached for comment.

Comments on Ticketek’s Facebook page mirror those of Conway-Moore – with many calling out the company for a lack of customer service.

“Do you ever respond to emails or answer the phone? Do you have customer service?” a woman commented.

”I can’t get in touch despite online forms, phone calls and direct messages. What is the next step? Commerce Commission,” commented another.
