Prices and specifications of the SsangYong Korando e-Motion EV have been announced.

SsangYong is about to add a new entrant to the increasingly competitive small/medium electric SUV segment, with the Korean company’s local distributor providing prices and specifications for the Korando e-Motion for launch later this year.

The Korando e-Motion is powered by a 140 kW/360 Nm electric motor that drives the front wheels, while a 62 kWh battery provides a claimed range of up to 339 km. This puts it on par with two direct competitors: the slightly smaller 50.3 kWh MG ZS EV (130 kW/280 Nm/320 km) and the 50 kWh BYD Atto 3 (150 kW/310 Nm/354 km), which about the same size as the SsangYong.

The Korando will be slightly more expensive, though, priced at $59,990 plus road costs, with a $3,000 premium for a black roof paint option.

The Korando e-Motion is the electric vehicle of the Korean manufacturer.

However, the price of the MG also includes on-road expenses and all cars are eligible for the full Clean Car discount of $8625.
