One person died on Wednesday evening after a “water-related incident” in Auckland’s Māngere.
The emergency services arrived at the scene and tried to resuscitate the person, but they could not be resuscitated, the police said.

“Our thoughts are with their families,” said a police spokesman.
The death is being referred to the coroner.
